RSJ: Meet The Candidates

The Rexburg Standard Journal newspaper interviewed the candidates for Rexburg City Council. The following is an excerpt from the article.

Meet the Candidates for Rexburg City Council

REXBURG - How well do you know the people who will be on November's ballot?

Sally Smith is a Rexburg native, and has had three children and nine grandchildren with her husband of 39 years. She graduated from Madison High School, Ricks College and holds many real estate education designations. She has worked as an associate broker with Century 21 since 1987. Smith has been involved with Madison Economic Partners for over 15 years, and served as president for three. She is serving on the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce Board, the board of the Family Crisis Center, is the upper valley chairman for the United Way and has acted as the community liaison for the Lincoln Legacy celebration put on by Madison School District. She says she is running because she cares about the community and wants it to grow in a way that welcomes new residents and new businesses while maintaining the quality of life now experienced.
"I would like to change the misconception that Rexburg is not business friendly," she says.
